Michael was about to graduate from college and told his father about his wish to get a BMW car as his graduation gift. Finally, the graduation day arrived and Michael was curiously waiting for his gift.
His father called him and gave him an envelope. Michael opened the envelope and it was a very beautiful Congratulations card with loads of blessings from his father.
Michael threw off the card saying, “On such a great occasion, this card was all that you could gift me!” Many years passed, Michael became a successful Engineer and had a loving family.
But, he realized that his father would be all alone, struggling in his old age. He thought of visiting him as he had not seen his father since his graduation day. Before he could make arrangements for his visit, he received a message, saying that his father has passed away and has willed all his possessions to him.
Michael rushed to his father’s home and found the same card on his table that was gifted by his father on his graduation day. With tears in his eyes, he picked up the card and opened it once again.
At the back side of the card, he found a key taped in an envelope. It had a tag with the car dealer’s name, his graduation date and the words, “Paid in Full”.
Many times, with our materialistic approach, we miss the wonderful blessings and love because of it not being packed the way we expected.
